Anyway, Michael “Heart of Gold, Abs of Steel, Size 14 Penis” Phelps will be donating his $1M bonus (that he earned from Speedo for tying Mark Spitz’s record of seven gold medals) to a foundation he just started.

Appearing on TODAY, Phelps announced that the Michael Phelps Foundation will distribute his prize money to various charitable programs to promote water safety and encourage youth swimming.

“This is a way for me to really help to grow the sport,” Phelps told TODAY co-host Matt Lauer on Tuesday.

    he’s in my vivid memory
    and he is keeping his promise
    about sponsoring swimming in the US
    and mind you, doing more than politicians
    who usually don’t keep their promises after being elected
    but, you know?
    it’s not american football
    it’s not baseball
    it’s not basketball
    it’s swimming, a strange sport
    some even find quite easy to do
    not a big deal, all those world records are piece of cake to anyone
    and people may not be prepared to appreciate the effort
    but I hope I am wrong
    he deserves it

  • Yeah, I’m tired of hearing/reading about him too. I’m guessing we have another 5 or 6 months before people forget who the hell he is. I get it, he won the Kentucky Derby.. he’s the fastest giant horse ever. Great, now let’s move on.

  • WOW MambaX are you trying to sound stupid or doing it on purpose, a sport some people find easy to do?? I suggest you join even a competitive JUNIOR HIGH level club swim team and swim one of their work outs, and I can assure you that you’ll find it to be quite difficult, and maybe even impossible for you. I respect Michael Phelps and everything he does, because any sport at that level requires an immense physical and mental effort.

  • Yeah, after I read about his “donation.” I thought too, it was a way of avoiding the taxes. Whatever, Debbie Phelps proved to be a smart woman. I hope she is in charge of his millions because I don’t wanna see another Mike Tyson! I really like Michael Phelps and think he’s super duper sexy too.

    Abot the Portugese girl who says she knows too much about the night life… there were numerous postings online from servers and people, who happened to either serve him at the bars/clubs he went with his friends, and random people, who took pictures with him, and they all said that 1. Mike was socializing with his group and had a great time, not really wild. 2. He never refused a picture with anybody 3. He actually had simple requests from the servers and was a wonderful guest. No complains nothing exciting. Pretty much a normal person wnjoying his time. Now, about the girls in his hotel room in London, that have been cirvculating… I can tell nothing…
