“I don’t feel comfortable talking about this … because it is a complicated issue for the brand.”

The EVP of Olive Garden, when asked by the Wall Street Journal to comment on how Playmate Kendra Wilkinson has sort of made herself their unofficial spokeswoman.

I love love LOVE that the WSJ has an entire article about Kendra and the Olive Garden. They refer to her as a “rogue brand ambassador: a celebrity who is genuinely, publicly devoted to a product or service, even if he or she doesn’t quite embody the values that the brand’s managers may be trying to convey.” Ha ha ha! I love it so much.

  • that sketch of kendra looks NOTHING like her. the journal usually does a better job. they missed to capture her enormous forehead and her dead stare + fake smile

  • The Olive Garden is the worst restaurant ever! (I promise I am not a snob, and I actully have no problems with chain restaurants in general.) The OG people should be glad anyone is willing to endorse that sh*it.

  • olive garden is okay i guess, but generally when i want a glorified t.v. dinner i just pay $4 at savemart and stay home. (but if someone else is paying, heck yeah, count me in!)

  • I really do not like Olive Garden.. I just feel they’re over-priced for the half decent food they’re serving.

  • I LOVE Olive Garden!!! I understand it is not “real” Italian food but I still love it. Just my opinion-can’t help it.

  • Yum, canned sauces and luke warm overcooked pasta. They are the antithesis of Italian. I haven’t been there in over a decade but I do remember the only thing worth eating are the bread sticks and salad. It’s amazing how these shitty chain restaurants thrive. It just goes to show you the tastelessness of the majority of American diners.
