Our Commander in Chief’s much-heralded visit to “Deal or No Deal” on Monday night did nothing to improve the show’s ratings. In fact, that episode matched its lowest Monday rating ever. Ahhhhhhh ha ha ha ha ha ha. Britney Spears scores HIMYM its highest ratings ever. President Bush lands this show its lowest ratings ever. Loves. It.
Maybe it’s just that everyone knew that the part with President Bush would be all over the Internet, like, five seconds later. But everyone knew that about Britney’s appearance, too, and they still watched. Maybe Americans are just sick of seeing his lame duck face anywhere, period.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that this man has fucked things up royally, and we’re really not interested in hearing his ass try to crack stupid fucking jokes. Pardon me. I hate this man.
Glad to see that President Numbnuts thinks things are running so smoothly he can take the time to appear on a game show. I’m sure there isn’t anything he could have applied himself to that would be more productive (like learning to read something above the “My Pet Goat” reading level).
Let’s be honest- there probably were more than a few flag-lapel-pin-wearers out there who just thought it was the greatest thing since hollow point ammunition that Dubya went on that show with the girls with big hooters. They’s purdy!
Actually, the comparison to Unfitney is rather appropriate- they are on about the same level intellectually (except that one was prolly meth, while the other one used to be blow…). I take that back, at least Brit Brit is making a comeback.

i love how everyone wants to blame everything on the president when in fact the economy is in the state that it is in because of greedy americans. They want the big house, the expensive car, the flat screen, ipods, iphones, video games, etc. The can’t learn to build equity. You’re supposed to begin with a starter home, not get everything you want. Take out mortgages without thinking about the consequences of their spending and cutting back on all the luxuries that aren’t needed. Now they want the gov’t and citizens who are actually realistic about their living standards to pay. Always me me me and blame others.
Bush has the lowest ratings of any president in the last 70 years!!! We are the laughing stock of the world because of him. Millions have died because of him. That young man (and all the young men and women who serve in the armed forces) are being used and abused by this Administration for their own personal agenda’s – not for the betterment of any country, least of all ours.
George W. Bush has stolen my country. He is the world’s most dangerous person. Laughing over his malapropisms may be fun, but the sad truth is that hundreds, thousands of people are dying because of his direct actions.
And while I am at it, a disproportionate number of under educated, lower income teenagers are being recruited to go and die in Iraq – this has become an invasion fought by wealthy men who can buy poorer men/women to stand and die in their place.

Ugh, desiring a president that is intelligent and has a modicum of common sense does not make anyone liberal, conservative, independent, etc- it just means you have an IQ that is greater than your shoe size. Call me old fashioned, but I guess I would prefer to have someone leading the country who is, I don’t know, maybe… smart? Articulate? Knows the difference between Sunnis and Shiites?
I don’t understand why “conservatives,” ie, the Right, label anyone who doesn’t support W as “liberal” and then go on to equate this with being unpatriotic. Just because someone doesn’t wear an American flag lapel pin, or drive around with a flag bumper sticker on the back of their Ford Excursion doesn’t mean they don’t love America. That is completely parenthetical, and is used by the Conservative elite to distract the everyman from what the REAL issues are. Sheep, sheep, sheep!
Anyone who thinks that the policies of this Administration haven’t had an impact on our economy needs to wake up and smell the bullshit that they have been fed! I appreciate the diatribe about “taking responsibility for your own finances,” and generally I agree; however, this argument loses alot of its impact coming from supporters of an administration that have financed an immoral war (which most Americans are AT BEST ambivalent about) by putting the tab on the national “credit card.” Make no mistake, people- we had to go to such beacons of economic and social freedom like China to foot the bill for the Iraq debacle. Anyone who thinks that our economy has not and will not suffer from a conflict that is expected to run in the TRILLIONS needs to get a clue. Our children’s grandchildren will be paying this bill, and will be responsible for taking care of the poor KIDS who are coming home from war and will need lifetime care.
You want to support our troops and their families? BRING THEM HOME. MAKE SURE THEY CAN BUY BASIC NEEDS AND SERVICES. EDUCATE THEIR CHILDREN. Stop voting for assholes you would like to have a barbecue and a beer with, and vote for someone who will do a good job running our country! Stop fucking up America for the rest of us! After deciding to forgo Perez for being so nasty I found your site. I really liked it and made comments from time to time. After reading your comments disparaging our President I am outta here for good. Our President deserves to be treated with respect, whether you agree with his politics or not. My family has served in the military for generations and have made huge sacrifices. I may have felt great disdain for Bill Clinton and the embaressment he caused this country, but I would never have publicly ridiculed him.
Sigh. Plenty of people publicly ridiculed Bill Clinton. The cigar, the blue dress, remember how the phrase “hummer” took on a new meaning. All the graphic details that really were none of our business were thrown out there for our own voyeristic delight.
The only thing relevant to the situation was that he had extramarital relationships while in the oval office. As far as I am concerned when it comes down to it he did the job he was elected to do and he did it so well he rewarded himself. His wife and family are the only ones he owes any apology to and the moral reprecussions of his behavior are between him and God.
As for G. Dub’s low ratings, it’s probably because the show’s ratings are declining anyway and barely anyone paid attention to the fact he was going to be on.
With Brittney everyone is following her every step and we all knew she was going to be on HIMYM from the moment the idea popped into CBS’s head. Everyone wanted to see if she could pull it off, that’s why we watched.
Everyone knows the president is capable of making a 30 second appearance as himself on a game show via satelite. It was a nice thing for him to do, but seriously there was no reason to believe it was going to be anything special. It was special for the soldier but no biggie for the audience, that’s why no one watched.
