The sixteen-year-old superstar was photographed in Israel Monday, munching down on Pringles and slamming an iced tea in front of the Western Wall, which is honestly one of the most ridiculous sights I’ve ever seen captured. Is all of this fame and opportunity to travel being wasted on the kid or am I insane? Who the hell scarfs Pringles while staring at one of the most famous historical sites in the entire world? Like, is he stoned?
If there’s one thing we can’t get enough of around here, it’s photos of Katy Perry lookin’ hot. I mean, as long as I don’t have to listen to her sing or anything that comes out of her awful mother‘s mouth, than I’m more than happy to post just about anything Katy-related.
These newest photos are from her campaign for ghd, a British line of hair products, and they were shot by David LaChapelle, who always seems to get it right.
Check out pictures of a heavily made-up Katy behind-the-scenes and see how the final photos turned out in the gallery after the jump!
Y’all have probably heard by now that Kobe Bryant called a referee a “f*cking f*ggot” (sorry, normally I don’t censor myself here, but those words are pretty gross to type next to each other,) during a game the other night, but I certainly didn’t think that much would come from it. That kind of behavior, regardless of what people say, is unfortunately common in the world of sports. But yo! The NBA slammed him with a $100,000 fine for his hateful speech.
NBA commissioner David Stern said in a public statement, “Kobe Bryant’s comment during last night’s game was offensive and inexcusable. While I’m fully aware that basketball is an emotional game, such a distasteful term should never be tolerated.”
And what did Kobe have to say about his hateful language? Same ol’ excuses/denial/excuses/denial as usual. He spoke to an ESPN radio show and said, “The comment that I made, even though it wasn’t meant in the way it was perceived to be, is nonetheless wrong, so it’s important to own that. It’s important for me to talk about that issue because it’s OK to be who you are and I don’t want this issue to be a part of something or to magnify something that shouldn’t be.”
Oh wow, Kobe! “Owning” your behavior, but never directly apologizing for it. What are you, a misbehaved teenage girl? Charlie Sheen? And thanks so much for saying that it’s okay for people to be who they are. What a learning experience for all of us, you disgusting rapist.
It was announced yesterday that Catherine Zeta-Jones has entered treatment for bipolar disorder. Apparently, after a year of dealing with her husband‘s failing health, the actress decided last week to take care of herself for a moment and address some on-going psychiatric problems. Her rep said, “Catherine made the decision to check in to a mental health facility for a brief stay to treat her Bipolar II disorder. She’s feeling great and looking forward to starting work this week on her two upcoming films.”
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Bipolar II, it’s essentially the same as regular bipolar disorder, but with an extra helping of depression. Perhaps this explains some of the disparaging remarks the actress made about herself in the press last month. Good for her for getting treatment. As a mother and a wife to an ailing husband, it’s incredibly important that she address these issues.
One question though: I’m no mental health expert, but is it really healthy for someone just out of treatment to go back to work right away, especially on something as stressful as a film set? All that pressure on someone who’s just identified herself as being in a fragile place seems like it might not be the best thing for her. Can anyone who has experience with the disease speak to this?
This should be fun. I’m thinking, like, ‘Yeasty, rank beaver.’ Or maybe ‘Your rotted bits.’ ‘Yuppie-rich bigot‘? It’s up in the air. I’m going to have to mull this one over for a little while. If you’re feeling creative, figure it out and let me know, won’t you?
Anyway, Paris Hilton was photographed for the cover of YRB, the same magazine that did the weird Khloe Kardashian fetish shoot that made me think of Jack Links beef jerky for some obscure reason, so I’m not going to really ask any questions. I’m just going to point and laugh, because sometimes? You’re made just so uncomfortable by something that it’s all you see fit to do.
So that Gotti movie that John Travolta is in? Remember how Lindsay was possibly, maybe being considered for the role of Victoria Gotti? Well, even though nothing’s official (read: so far from official that it’s laughable that Lindsay was even AT this press conference), Lindsay showed up at the Gotti: Three Generations conference held yesterday looking … alright, looking exactly the way you’d picture a young Victoria Gotti to look. You win.
Anyway, my first thought about this entire thing was ‘Hey, great. John Travolta got some new hair for this Gotti movie.’ And then I got to thinking how awesome of an opportunity this could be for Lindsay Lohan. Seriously. I mean, starring as John Travolta’s kid? If it happens, and if she can stick with the whole filming thing without relapsing and fucking up the entire production, and IF she’s even still okay as an actress and pulls a performance off (and I know that’s a lot of ifs), this could be a total career boost for her. A Lindsay Lohan revival, if you will.
Travolta’s words on possibly sharing a screen with Lindsay? “I know whatever she would like to do would be great.” … Meaning “great” as in “fucking fabulous; I’ve waited my entire career for this shit,” or “great; I’m going to go fucking eat a gun, or maybe a dick, because OMG my career is SRSLY OVER.” John Travolta’s a hard nut to crack, don’t you know. Scrap that. I just reread his comment, and I’ve gotta be honest – I actually have no fucking idea what he’s trying to say.
Anyway, is it gonna happen? Who knows. There’s a shit ton that goes into casting a movie, even aside from picking the damn actors and actresses, and if definitely choosing Lindsay Lohan to play Victoria Gotti in this movie is number 4,482 on a list from 1 to 5,000, then we’re probably just on number 2,184 right now.
get a life haters,i know y’all wish 2 be kim but d bad news is no,u cant be kim and dis blogger should find something else to write and leave d kardashians alone.
I’m sorry for you. But I don’t like that you say “I feel outraged that celebrities are acting this way and claiming to be this”… I mean excuse me, but don’t you see “celebrities”...
When Gawker reported the bullying incident several people commented that were/were related to/befriended to people in Gaga’s class reporting that bullying as she described never happened. But, see, bullying was all over...
Thanks for the feedback – it’s definitely appreciated. We’re in the process of trying to make some of the ads less in-your-face and will hopefully have the situation resolved soon. :)
