I love independent films, and moreover, I’ve been a big fan of ‘major’ celebrities like Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling (Lars and the Real Girl? Awesome.) doing a lot of underground movies over the past few years. It’s bringing cinema back as an art, not just as, “Hey, let’s bring Jennifer Aniston or Cameron Diaz into some random movie plot and make it a zany romantic comedy, OK, but a different zany romantic comedy, not the same old-same old that we’ve seen sixty-five-thousand times already.” Oh, wait. Dammit.

Yeah, and in case you couldn’t tell from the photos, Sarah Silverman’s in the movie, too. And Seth Rogen, though he’s actually not pictured. But I could really give a crap less about either of them, anyway.

Rogen was on Jimmy Kimmel last night to promote his new movie, Funny People. Amongst other things, he talked about how the first time he was on the show, Megan Fox gave him the cold shoulder. (Skip ahead to 2:20 for the condensed version. )

I’m going to add “horrible taste in men” right next to “horrible taste in tattoos” on the Megan Fox shit list.

If by the end of this clip the hot Rogen on Sandburg tension has you yelling “Kiss him! Just fucking kiss him already!!” I understand your pain. And while it won’t satisfy your sexual frustrations (oddly enough), I suggest reading the feature interview in April’s issue of Playboy magazine. Rogen is one of only a handful of men to make it onto the magazine’s cover, and the interview is seriously laugh-out-loud funny.

Sunday’s Monsters vs Aliens premiere was a veritable who’s who of people you’re not supposed to be attracted to, but probably are.
There were a few who walked the red (or rather, blue) carpet that would be considered mainstream-acceptably hot (Kiefer Sutherland, Paul Rudd, Reese Witherspoon). But there were just as many celebrities about whom many of you have probably had the occasional raunchy dream, but were too embarrassed to tell anyone. I can tell you from my own dreams that Seth Rogen is very gentle and Hugh Laurie’s beard tickles. Rainn Wilson and Jack Black are on a few of your lists, I’m sure. Hell, maybe some of you are even attracted to that big, blue, animated blob.

Personally,  I love Reese’s dress. But I can also see how some people would think it looks like scraps of Christmas wrapping paper sewn together.

The Knocked Up cutie showed up at the film’s UK premiere. Leslie Mann was there, but the rest of the cast — including troublemaker Katherine Heigl — was nowhere to be seen. But he’s such a cutie, I had to run these pictures.
