Hey, guys, in case you haven’t noticed, TMZ ran a photo taken of Rihanna after she got her ass kicked by Chris Brown.
Now the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the leak of the photo from its files, saying in a statement it “takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence.”
Said Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, when asked about the photo leak: “It’s good and it’s bad to see the picture because there’s other people who were thinking differently, that (Rihanna’s injuries) may not be that bad, just a little spank or a little thing.”
TMZ chief Harvey Levin insists the photo of a bruised Rihanna that his website published last night was “represented” as totally legit when they secured it — that is, it wasn’t stolen from the LAPD. Riiiight, Harvey. I’m so sure you thought that the LAPD was happy to sell you a photo of a domestic violence victim. The mayor probably even offered to autograph it, right?
Oh, and for those of you who think I shouldn’t have run that photo: I don’t know about you guys, but it’s my job to read all the comments posted on this site, on ALL Rihanna/Chris Brown posts, and I’ll tell you that the comments claiming that Rihanna “had it coming” or that Chris Brown was “still their hero” have died WAY DOWN since this photo leaked last night. That’s was the intended result, and I hope this photo helps show the world that the end result of domestic violence is not something to be excused or explained. Well worth any charges of “hypocrisy” in my mind.

This is horrible, horrible, horrible.
HORRIBLE. I’m actually crying right now.
If you are a victim of domestic violence, you can seek help and advice anonymously from the National Domestic Violence Hotline, RAINN or a wide variety of other nationwide, state and local organizations. This is NOT OKAY, ladies. NOT EVER.

Last night I was at a bar for trivia night with some friends, and one of the guys was like, “So, they’re not charging Chris Brown with anything, eh?” and I was like, “Ummmm, where did you hear that?” and he was like, “Well he hasn’t been charged with anything, and it’s the DA who has to charge him, so he must not be charged with anything.”
Um. NO.
The District Attoney’s office doesn’t always just make a case overnight, and Chris is NOT out of the woods right now. This is a total misconception, and now I’m worried that everyone thinks this guy has gotten off scott-free just because he’s not in jail right now. NOT TRUE.
The DA is currently collecting evidence to charge Chris with MULTIPLE felonies:
At the request of the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, the R&B star is being investigated for a variety of felonies, including domestic violence, assault resulting in great bodily injury and—based on specific allegations made by Rihanna—even attempted murder, says a source close the office.
So, no, folks.
This is NOT over yet.

The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that Rihanna had a really strong reaction when she first heard Chris Brown’s public apology for the violence that occurred between them; anger. According to a longtime friend of the singer, Brown’s statement didn’t admit wrongdoing and therefore, wasn’t good enough.
”All of us, including Rihanna, don’t understand how he can say he’s sorry on the one hand, but still … does not admit any guilt,” said the source, adding, “He should have expressed more contrition.”
In Los Angeles, a close Rihanna associate — in daily contact with her — told this column Monday the entertainer is ”royally pissed off” by what Rihanna calls Brown’s ”cavalier and arrogant statement.”
Come on, Rihanna! Make an official statement! Let the world know that a vague “apology” from this asshat that isn’t taking accountability, is not okay!

Isn’t that how they all start these days?
Chris has had a girl on the side for awhile now, according to the rumors that I’m hearing, and she sent him a text message on Saturday night basically asking for a booty call. Rihanna saw the text and got pissed, and that’s how the fight began.
“He got a booty call. He got a text. Rihanna saw it and she got upset. They started to argue. She got out of the car. He wanted her to get back in, so he grabbed her,” the industry source said. “She pulled away. That’s when she’s told people he hit her.”
The Barbados-born beauty had “visible injuries” when cops arrived, and she’s been cooperating with the investigation ever since, while freezing out Brown.
“Chris has been trying to contact her. So far she hasn’t taken his call,” the music business source said. “Her family is on their way to be with her. She has some close girlfriend looking after her.”
According to insiders, this isn’t the first time Chris has gotten physical with her.
A Rihanna confidant adds that bruises were clearly visible on the singer’s neck in early December.
Alarmed, “I asked is everything was OK with her and Chris,” says the pal. “She told me, ‘We broke up again.’ I didn’t pursue the issue further.”
UGH!
So awful!
Feel better, Rihanna!

“Chris is a great guy. He’ll be all right. And Rihanna knows he loves her.”
Terrence Howard’s commentary to Hollywood TV regarding (alleged!) abuser Chris Brown. You know what? I can pretty much confidently state that a guy who chokes you into unconsciousness while vowing to kill you, does not love you. His statement just reinforces the sick, “He only does it because he loves me so much,” mindset of an abused woman.
To give you some insight into this man’s mental health, other Terrence Howard gems of the past:
“I like women who look like me. Generally, you’re attracted to women who look like you, because the most beautiful thing in nature is your own reflection.”
Regarding his relationship deal-breaker:
“Toilet paper – and no baby wipes – in the bathroom. If they’re using dry paper, they aren’t washing all of themselves. It’s just unclean. So if I go in a woman’s house and see the toilet paper there, I’ll explain this. And if she doesn’t make the adjustment to baby wipes, I’ll know she’s not completely clean.”
