Today's Evil Beet Gossip
Kelly Clarkson

“Oh, my God, I have no desire. I would not be a good mother. I mean, I love being an aunt to my niece and nephew. And I used to want to, like, adopt 10 kids — because I had friends who were adopted, and I thought that was the coolest thing, to be chosen. But again, my job is too selfish”

Kelly Clarkson in a USA Today interview speaking about how she doesn’t want kids.

I love Kelly Clarkson.  I’ve already come out of the Clarkson closet, but it cannot be overstated-I think she’s great.

It seems that motherhood is just expected of women and I really respect a woman who is brave enough to be child-free by choice.  Speaking of which, I’d like to be CFBC for, like, a day or two.  Does anyone know of a good kid kennel?

In the interview, she talks about life lived on a ranch and how she hasn’t changed, her attitude about being true to her music, and how she had to change managers to find someone who supports her vision of holding fame at an arms length.  You can read the whole thing here.  I find her so impressive and self-aware.  It makes me not even want to say anything about her dress.  That’s power, folks.

“Lesbians tell it to me all the time. I’m like, ‘I’m glad it works for you and I wish I liked women like that because often times men are very hard for me, but I happen to like boys.’ I could never be a lesbian. I would never want to date [someone like] myself, ever. I’m a crazy person. I need some kind of stable, quiet man.”

Kelly Clarkson, when asked about rumors that she’s secretly a lesbian.

Kelly’s kind of a notable celebrity in that she seems to never date anyone, and has mentioned in the past that she’s never been in love. “I recently got back from this European promo tour,” she said, “and every interview kept focusing on that … I’m like ‘Well, maybe ya’ll just fall in love too quickly. Have you ever thought about that?’”

Congrats to Kelly Clarkson!!!

I don’t even know why, but, for the past few days, I’ve just been listening to Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would Suck Without You” and Pink’s “Sober” over and over and over again on a loop in Rhapsody. They’re both just kick-ass songs that I can’t get enough of. And clearly the rest of the country agrees, as Kelly will have the #1 single in the country this week.

She’s also setting the record for the largest jump to the #1 spot. She debuted at #97 last week.

Her full album drops March 17, and I cannot wait!!!!

“They have definitely photo-shopped the crap out of me…”

Kelly Clarkson taking to her blog to share her new album cover.  Can I just take this moment to publicly claim my love for her?  I’m letting go of the shame and just admitting it.
