Is it me, or do there seem to be a fair amount of good movies coming out over the next few months to a year? Maybe I’m just drunk off of all the Harry Potter nonsense, but I’m seeing film for the remainder of 2011 and into 2012 through the rosiest glasses possible.

Take the newest Sherlock Holmes film. I mean, it looks GREAT. I don’t even LIKE Jude Law, and my girl Rachel McAdams isn’t even in this one, but in spite of that stuff, I am totally looking forward to seeing this in theaters. It looks amazing.

Also? I think Robert Downey Jr. makes a damn handsome woman. If that fact in itself isn’t enough to make you want to run out and see this movie, well. I guess all of your priorities are just wrong, friend.

Man, I love it when real behind-the-scenes dirt comes out years after it happened. Can you imagine a better image than Courtney Love standing between Chris Rock and Jude Law, barking and growling? Obviously you can because it’s the best mental image ever. I may get that scene tattooed on my shoulder blades.

This first bit that The Daily Mail released tells of 25-year-old mother and wife, Sadie Frost, meeting 19-year-old Jude Law on a movie set in 1992 and how she began to develop feelings for Jude:

Filming began in 1992. Gary [her husband] was as devoted as ever and I knew that by even entertaining thoughts of Jude, I was jeopardising an idyllic home life, the most secure relationship I’d ever had.

I crushed my unwelcome ideas about Jude, but it wasn’t easy. I was beginning to prefer this straightforward young man to my intellectual older husband. Still, I tried to reject my dark thoughts, until it became clear that Jude was interested in me, too.

A night shoot in which we sat in a car was almost painful, so powerful was the force drawing me to him. He turned to me, his stare intense and hungry. I allowed my gaze to take him in as his almond-shaped, avocado-green eyes thundered their way into my soul. His head was shaved and he was wearing tight black trousers. Time slowed down inside our bubble and I realised we were destined to be together. ‘Cut!’ shouted the director, shaking us back to reality.

I absolutely love Sadie’s writing style.  I feel like I’m reading a V.C. Andrews book, it’s wonderful.

On a more serious note, Sadie discusses at length her experiences with postpartum depression.  She writes of taking care of her first child alone while Jude worked and how she became so depressed that one night she cut herself with a pair of scissors.  She also alludes to that time when her daughter Iris, who was two at the time, accidentally swallowed some ecstasy at a birthday party and how the media’s reaction to that incident caused her depression to intensify until a friend asked her to go to a clinic.  Instead, Sadie went to see Jude, and it became clear then that their marriage was over.

So dramatic, you guys.

Ok, so Jude Law is maybe a little bit of a whore, but that’s ok. It’s not new.  It’s something we have come to acknowledge and accept, so let’s just move on from that for a moment. Just because a guy knocks up some ladies and is seemingly incapable of sticking to just one woman doesn’t mean that he can’t be charming sometimes.

The above video was taken while Jude was on a trip to the Czech Republic to receive a prize at a film festival.  And just like any respectable person in a foreign country, he stopped by a wine bar and sang a sweet karaoke version of “Johnny B. Goode.”  He also does a little jig, does a really job bad pretending the mic stand is a guitar, and politely refuses a real guitar.

You B. Goode youself, Jude.  And keep doing karaoke, because it’s actually pretty precious.

Wow. So this is a bit controversial considering we’re talking about hair… Or are we?

Sadie Frost, Jude Law’s ex-wife and the mother of his children, has a serious bone to pick with Jude’s on-again girlfriend, Sienna Miller. When Sadie was out of town, their daughter Iris stayed with Jude and Sienna, and Sienna took it upon herself to have Iris’ hair cut. While there are worse offenses, taking a woman’s child while she’s out of town and essentially giving her a makeover isn’t really something you should do. Especially when your relationship with the little girl’s mother is already strained (because you’re the home wrecker who broke up her marriage.)

Because Sadie feels so betrayed by both Jude and Sienna, she has banned Sienna from attending her daughter’s ballet recital.

‘Jude was bringing Sienna to the recital to support Iris, but Sadie has had enough and put her foot down and said she could not come. Sadie is a great mum, she’s just had enough of someone else playing mum with her children. There are many things that Sadie is cross about at the moment. Sienna is making all these plans for Sadie’s children to be part of the wedding party. Jude asked Sadie if she could have an informal meeting with Sienna to smooth over their relationship for the sake of the children – but that was before.’

OK, I see both sides of this story. I think that generally, it’s completely inappropriate as a non-parent to change something about someone’s child, even if it’s just a hair cut. But at the same time, it’s just hair. If Iris has a blunt little bob cut for summer, who the hell cares? Not only will it grow back, but I’m sure Sienna didn’t wreck the little girl’s head.

I also think that perhaps Sadie is making it harder on her kids, who likely are unaware of the cheating and other betrayals that have gone on between the adults in their lives. If Iris wants Sienna at the recital, then it shouldn’t matter how Sadie feels… but what role is Jude playing here? It’s awfully sad that these women have been pitted against each other and it would be best for the kids if all of this was settled before Jude and Sienna tie the knot.

Sienna Miller fueled rumors that she and Jude Law are back together by leaving his New York apartment with an overnight bag and an umbrella covering his face. Perhaps time has healed old wounds or Sienna was willing to forgive Jude’s infidelity because of her own relationship choices the past couple years. Either way, I sure do hope those two whores are back together! That would be delicious!

Well, it didn’t take Samantha Burke long to whore out some photos of her daughter Sophia, the product of a short-lived tryst with Jude Law.  In a way, isn’t it lovely that Burke agreed to appear on the cover of Hello! magazine to the tune of more than a quarter of a million dollars?  Jude hasn’t met his daughter yet, so this is a good way for him to get a gander at the child.  When asked about plans for Law to meet Sophia, Burke replied “There are no plans for it to happen at the moment, but I know he’s busy.”

Jude Law got some chick pregnant; she’s due this fall.  Her name hasn’t come out yet and they aren’t in a relationship, so it was probably a typical Jude Law conquest accomplished by a liberal application of Stoli and English charm (though, obviously lacking a liberal application of spermicide).

I started going through the photo agencies’ Jude Law pictures of the past year, looking for this mysterious female that is now impregnated with Law’s kid.  (Obviously, I think I’m Nancy Drew.)  I did find some pictures of him with a woman, and they just had that “look”.  You know the look, the one that says “We’ve swapped body fluids.”  They looked really intimate with their arms wrapped around each other and lots of eye-gazing.  I was pretty much convinced that I’d found her, until I realized that the chick he looked so enamored with was … his sister.

And scene.

The hottie actor turned himself into police on Tuesday after beating the crap out of a photog he spotted outside his London home. Law was apparently concerned that the paparazzi wanted to photograph his children, and allegedly called him a pedophile.

Following the arrest, his lawyer released the following statement:

“I can confirm that Jude Law voluntarily attended Marylebone Police Station yesterday following an alleged incident outside his house earlier in the day. Mr. Law provided the police with a statement regarding his denials of allegations by a ‘paparazzi’ photographer against him and made his own allegations concerning the photographer. Jude has the utmost respect for the police and whilst this is an ongoing matter no further comment will be made.”

“[I] just found out my yoga teacher is f-ing Jude Law. She’s got a hot bod.”

You just found your yoga instructor having sex? That is a little odd. Was she early for her session and caught them doing downward dirty dogs. Jude seems kind of kinky. Honestly if I was a hot famous man I’d go the model route but to each his own. I remember back in the “Talented Mr. Ripley” days I would have totally hit Jude Law but he is heading into “rode hard and put away wet” territory.

Actually thinking about it, he and Lindsay would be a match made in horndog heaven.

Lindsay’s prepping to head for London to film a new movie, The Best Time of Our Lives (co-starring Keira Knightley), and decided to get all her NYC (“sober”) partying out of her system beforehand.
