Photogs caught Mandy Moore leaving the Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, where she’s visiting her former flame, Adam Goldstein (aka DJ AM).

Aw, what a sweetheart. My hatred for Mandy has been lifted, but just for today. I reserve the right to reclaim it whenever I see fit.

As I’m sure most of you have heard by now, a doctor working with Travis Barker and DJ AM says both are expected to make full recoveries. They are being treated at an excellent burn center for second- and third-degree burns. Travis was burned on the torso, while DJ AM suffered burns on his arm and scalp.

Hollywood is now making a mass exodus to Augusta, Georgia to visit their injured pals.

Celebs reportedly traveling to Georgia include Shanna Moakler (Barker’s ex-wife), Nicole Richie (DJ AM’s former fiance), Paris Hilton (who has famously feuded with Moakler) and Mandy Moore (DJ AM’s former girlfriend).

So far, I haven’t come across any paparazzi shots of these people entering or leaving the hospital. I’m not sure what that means, but it’s interesting indeed.

As for the cause of the crash, the NTSB is reporting that the pilots believed a tire blew on the runway.

In a separate press conference on Sunday, National Transportation Safety Board member Debbie Hersman said that the plane’s crew members thought a tire burst as they started down the runway.

Hersman said the plane’s cockpit voice recorder had been recovered from the wreckage. On it, pilots of the Learjet told air traffic controllers they heard a tire burst and were going to abort takeoff.

She added that the cause of the crash is being investigated.

It’s good to hear that Travis and Adam are going to be okay, but I’m sure what they’re going through right now is exceptionally painful, both physically and psychologically. I wish them all the best. They have a whole country sending them positive vibes and, yes, prayers.

First off, rumors that they were on that Learjet so that Travis’ assistant could be present for the birth of his child are false.

Says a publicist for the duo in a statement:

“Both Travis Barker and Adam Goldstein (DJ AM) are in critical but stable condition and are being treated at Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia after surviving a plane crash late last night in Columbia, South Carolina. The hospital will issue a statement with an update on their condition at 9:00 am eastern time tomorrow. Due to the nature of the injuries and the evolving course of treatment no further information on their condition is available at this time. The accident claimed the lives of four people on board, two of whom, Chris Baker (Lil Chris) and Charles Stills (Che), were close friends of the injured. On behalf of Travis Barker and DJ AM, deepest sympathy is expressed to the loved ones of all who perished in the crash. As the two recuperate and mourn this loss, privacy for them, their families, and friends is requested at this time.”

This is all so awful.

Somehow I just can’t bring myself to post the latest photos from the Emmy swag lounges and write pithy comments about them in the face of shit like this. It’s never fun to be reminded how suddenly your whole life can be turned upside-down through no fault of your own.

Things’ll be back to normal by tomorrow night, I suppose. But summer ended in Seattle today, and it’s dark, cold and rainy and something’s changed tangibly, and all I want to do tonight is curl up in bed with my puppy and my cats.

Holy shit.

DJ AM and Travis Barker appear to be the sole survivors of a plane crash in South Carolina late last night. They are both in critical condition at a South Carolina hospital.

Officials said the plane carrying six people was departing shortly before midnight Friday when air traffic controllers reporting seeing sparks. The plane hurtled off the end of a runway and crashed through antennas and a fence. It came to rest on an embankment across a five-lane highway and was engulfed in flames, said Debbie Hersman, a member of the National Transportation Safety Board.

Barker and DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, were in critical condition at a burn center in Augusta, Ga., about 75 miles southwest of Columbia, hospital spokeswoman Beth Frits said.

Two other passengers — Chris Baker, 29, of Studio City, Calif., and Charles Still, 25, of Los Angeles — died, as did pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, of Anaheim Hills, Calif., and co-pilot James Bland, 52, of Carlsbad, according to the county coroner. Baker was an assistant to Barker and Still was a security guard for the musician.

According to reports, Travis Barker has been burned from the waist down, but he is expected to survive the plane crash. DJ AM’s face was severely burned and is being tended to right now.

Our prayers go out to both of them and their families. This is just horrible.

Oh, Lindsay, Lindsay. Where would we be without you? I know things are rough for you, what with you father being released from prison in, like, two hours, but do you really have to take your inner fear out on all the other women of Hollywood?

Lindsay’s prepping to head for London to film a new movie, The Best Time of Our Lives (co-starring Keira Knightley), and decided to get all her NYC (“sober”) partying out of her system beforehand. On her to-do list: DJ AM, recently split from Mandy Moore, and Jude Law, the on-again-off-again boyfriend of Sienna Miller. Lindsay partied with the two of them until the wee hours of the morning this weekend. Her mom Dina was at her side throughout, probably because she knows her daughter can score the best blow in town.
