Stallone hanging up his gloves for retirement

It's the end of the line for Rocky Balboa, and there ain't gonna be no rematch.
After returning this month as a coach in the box-office heavyweight Creed II, Sylvester Stallone announced that he's retiring the character of the Philly boxing phenom for good.
"I just want to thank everyone around the whole wide World for taking the Rocky family into their hearts for over 40 years," Stallone  posted on Instagram, proclaiming the end to his participation in the 42-year-old, eight-movie franchise. "It's been my Ultimate privilege to have been able to create and play this meaningful character. Though it breaks my heart, Sadly all things must pass… and end. I love you Kind and generous people, and The most wonderful thing of all, is that ROCKY will never die because he lives on in you …."
In the Instagram video, Stallone throws in the towel on the Italian Stallion alongside Creed II star Michael B. Jordan, adding that he thought he had reached the end of the Rocky road in 2006.  "As I step back, as my story has been told, there's a whole new world that's going to be opening up for the audience, for a new generation … Now you have to carry the mantle," he says, raising Jordan's fist.

Judge Judy Sheindlin beats Ellen, Dr Phil on 2018 list of highest-paid TV hosts

Judge Judy Sheindlin easily topped Forbes’ list of the highest-paid daytime TV hosts for 2018. Thanks to a lucrative deal that sold the rights to the thousands of episodes of her long-running courtroom show, Sheindlin took in an estimated $147 million pretax in the 12 months preceding June 2018, Forbes said. That number is more than triple the $47 million she takes in annually as host of “Judge Judy” and producer of “Hot Bench,” and marks the first time Sheindlin has ever topped F...

Kevin Hart criticized for son’s cowboys and Indians party

Recently, multiple social media users blasted Kevin Hart and his wife, Eniko Hart, over the theme of their son Kenzo Hart's birthday party: cowboys and Indians. Photos showed guests posing with teepees and blankets with traditional Native American prints, prompting critics to argue the theme was insensitive for its portrayal of American settlers' colonization of the West. Kevin dismissed the backlash Wednesday on his SiriusXM show, Straight From the Hart. "She posts this picture, and the next day there's a lot of flak. You know, I don't go on this s--t; I don't read none of that, so she tells me [about it]," he said. "She's like, 'Yo, come look at this dumb s--t on TMZ. People are complaining about the cowboys and Indians party, saying it's insensitive." Since he felt unfairly singled out, Kevin attempted to point out the hypocrisy in his critics' arguments. "Keep in mind, the same day the Cowboys played the Redskins on TV. It's a very known fact!" the Night School actor noted. "The Redskins and Cowboys played the same day!" "The reason why I'm even bringing this dumb s--t up is because it shows just how stupid our world is becoming with opinions," Kevin complained. "People are at a point of an all-time high. To throw racial judgment into the development of a 1-year-old's birthday party where the theme is cowboys and Indians? It's based around the outfits that are given to the young kids!" One of Kevin's Plastic Cup Boyz co-hosts took things to another level, telling the 39-year-old actor, "Somebody said, 'What if next year somebody throw a slave owner and a slave party?'" "If you don't think there's neighborhoods where they play that game in certain white neighborhoods, then you're a f--king idiot," Kevin said. "You don't think they had dumbass games like that? As a kid, do we play cops and robbers? As a kid, did you play cowboys and Indians? When you were a child, if you go to stores, you go to look at paraphernalia. To be a cowboy, you're buying boots, you're buying a gun, you're buying a hat. Some even had a lasso." First of all, none of his "excuses" excuse anything.  People DO complain about the Redskins team name. And are you telling me that b/c some white racists might do a slave owner party, it's ok to do your racists themed party? Terrible excuse.                                         /> Recently, multiple social media users blasted Kevin Hart and his wife, Eniko Hart, over the theme of their son Kenzo Hart's birthday party: cowboys and Indians. Lana Del Rey buys Echo Park home

Though she owns several substantially larger and much more expensive residences in some of Los Angeles’s most expensive zip codes, eagle-eyed real estate sources say indie pop queen Lana Del Rey has shelled out almost $1.2 million — about 20% more than the not quite $1 million asking price — for a historic two-bedroom and one-bathroom cabin in the not too long ago unsung and now hipster-thronged Echo Park area of Los Angeles. The property was listed with Diana Braun at Compass. Built in 1911, the just over 1,200-square-foot vintage cabin was restored, updated and decorated in a rustic-chic and photograph-friendly fashion by the seller, designer Leanne Ford, host of the HGTV series “Restored by the Fords.” 1,236 square feet, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom Though she owns several substantially larger and much more expensive residences in some of Los Angeles’s most expensive zip codes, eagle-eyed real estate sources say indie pop queen Lana Del Rey has shelled out almost $1.2 million — about 20% more than the not quite $1 million asking price — for a historic two-bedroom and one-bathroom cabin in the not too long ago unsung and now hipster-thronged Echo Park area of Los Angeles. Gwyneth Paltrow’s Broadway show is closing

Not everything Goop goddess Gwyneth Paltrow touches turns to gold, it turns out. The Go-Go’s musical she produced, “Head Over Heels,” will close Jan. 6 after struggling at the box office, producers revealed Monday. The closure comes at the same time overall Broadway ticket sales have been booming. The show that marked Paltrow’s Broadway producing debut oddly paired music by the ’80s band with a story inspired by a 16th-century English prose poem. It will have played just 188...
