This Is a Great Look for Christina Aguilera

Photo: Christina Aguilera can't stop laughing!

What I like most about these photographs of Christina Aguilera is the way Celebuzz posted them in the middle of the night without adding any “color commentary” whatsoever:

Christina Aguilera was smiley onstage at The Voice panel during TCA’s in California on Friday.

Wearing her trademark red lipstick, Aguilera donned a purple leopard print dress for the press conference.

Earlier today a report said that Kelly Clarkson would be making a guest appearance on season two as well as…

Miranda Lambert, Lionel Richie, Jewel, Babyface, Ne-Yo, Alanis Morissette and Robin Thicke.

The successful show is coming back for a second season and will premiere after the Super Bowl.

No mention! They made no mention of how cute that dress is. Apparently it is by Thomas Wylde. I actually am really into it; the monochrome leopard print really looks so nice against all the orange. I used to have seatcovers in my car with that exact print, and I had an orange steering wheel cover, and I just really liked the orange and gray together, y’know? (Yes, Celebuzz claims that the dress is purple, but I’m not buying it.)

I also love how flowy and, um, summery the dress is. Other things I like: the shoes, the hair. Yes, the hair. To quote the fictional Fran Fine, “Big hair makes the hips look smaller.” I wish my hair could hold a color like that. So vibrant!

Also, her skin is so smooth, so perfect and unblemished. There is such a fine line between ‘radiant’ and ‘radioactive,’ and a classy lady always knows just how much bronzer to apply to a collarbone.

I’m not quite as sure about that makeup—false eyelashes, yeeeesh—but I guess the idea is to be able to see it from the stage. These photos do Christina no favors, however: her legs are crossed in all of them, and the fabric’s pattern makes it hard to see where the actual dress stops and starts.

And I think that’s it! I think I covered everything! What do you think, you guys? Am I missing anything?

  • When I look recent pictures of her, I don’t care she is fat, all I can think is that it would look half-better with a different makeup. Whoever did this should get another job.

    • Honestly, she has always been a great looking girl, but I just can’t stand her makeup. Was it always that heavy? (THE MAKEUP, I MEAN.) Maybe it was. I feel like 20-year olds look sweet and innocent and silly in terrible makeup, but by the time you’re 31 you maybe want to switch to mineral powder or something. OK, those are my unironic two cents.

      • It might be the red lipstick (she would makes the Joker and Frank-N-Furter jealous), the makeup is just clownesque. In the Dirrty time, she had that kind of heavy makeup, but with skin color lipstick, it was better.

The hair color? I like her with darker hair, but it’s matter of taste I guess. The age? yeah a little bit of this too. But for that MAKEUP, it’s CRAPTASTIC for every age!

I know she’s a little fat, but I think she could still looks cool/edgy and less silly than this. She could use her curve to her advantage, plus she has a nice face (I guess I mean, hard to see with all the bad makeup). I don’t don’t ask for a Adele way, but she can do better than THIS!

Sometime I wonder if she doesn’t do effort on purpose, so she gets more exposure in media and can reply “I don’t care, I love myself blablabla”!…

  • she’s not that fat but this type of dress… let’s just say i have one and there’s a reason why i dont wear it

  • In the lead-in photo, she’s eerily reminiscent of Marlon Brando a la The Island of Dr. Moreau.

  • McMiller, you’re dead on. I kind of thought she looked like one of those trailer park mamas who just rolled out of bed.

  • I’m thinking she looks like the mother’s corpse at the end of Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, you know, the one that’s holding the chainsaw that saves the day. Anybody?

  • She’s really not that fat, but that dress makes her look enormous. Crossing her legs really isn’t helping, either.
