Well, she’s not anymore.
Natalie split from her husband of four years, Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns, this week.
They thought they could bury this shit in the Britney mess, but I miss nothing.
Here’s the statement, released today:
“While we are very sad that our marriage has ended, we want to make it clear that our parting is amicable, and we remain friends. This mutual decision has not been taken lightly or quickly. However, our career demands and our lives in different parts of the world have brought us to the point where unfortunately this difficult decision was necessary for both of us. We have simply grown apart through not being able to spend enough time together.”
Now I can go back to my very busy schedule of not caring about Natalie Imbruglia.
Yeah, Imbruglia’s really setting the world alight, isn’t she? I love how she fails at one thing (either the music or the acting), then flip-flops back to the other, claiming that’s her “true passion” – then when that fails again, back to the other one. Lather, rinse, repeat. Watch for another dismal acting role now the latest album has done sweet FA.
I love that she felt the need to release a statement. The only interesting thing here will be to watch to see how TMZ claims they hinted of this weeks ago.

Thanks! I’m Aussie, and there’ve always been whispers here that the marriage wouldn’t last – in October Silverchair won a swag of awards at the ARIAs (our Grammys) and Daniel thanked all and sundry – except Natalie. That was probably the most recent “omg did they split?!?!” clue.
I’ve read elsewhere that she’s been shagging David Walliams (Little Britain) but who knows. Maybe Daniel dropped her cos Loreal dumped her and his free eyeliner ran out?
