Arnold Schwarzenegger talking about his separation from wife, Maria Shriver. Doing precisely the thing that their ‘joint’ statement from yesterday claimed wouldn’t happen: talking about their separation.
Just based on the above comment, and the new information that Arnold wishes to resurrect his acting career, I’m willing to bet that it was Maria who initiated the split, and now? She’s probably furious that the first thing Arnold did was run to the media.
Considering she totally curtailed her career in TV journalism for Ahnold’s dream-roost as California’s governor, this midlife “Imma jumpstart my acting career byyyye politics” thing has got to be infuriating. I’m sure they’re still in love, they’ve got kids, yadda yadda, but that means balls when one of you is fucking pissed. And why wouldn’t she be pissed? She’s a goddamned Kennedy, she made it in journalism by her own straps, she married an ape who lifted so many heavy things that he lucked into a film career, and suddenly she’s sidelined everything ever and masquerading as a Republican? I repeat, as a Republican?? I bet she’s wanted her life back for years and, now that he’s out of office, she’s finally able to make a break for it. Good on you, sister! Make tracks!
