It was just a few years ago that Timbaland brought Nelly Furtado back from the dead of adult-contemporary radio stations, and it appears that now he’s trying to do the same thing with Michelle Branch.
While I was never much of a Michelle Branch fan (I’m more about that Vanessa Carlton), I’m down to give this a shot. Let’s face it: Timbaland doesn’t even know how to produce a shitty track. I think it would be a greater challenge for him to make a whack song than it would be for him to try and make Michelle Branch popular again, so you know, I’ll give them both that.
What do you think about their new song “Getaway”?
The songs fine. But it seems he just took an ok song and added all this crap that has nothing to do with the original sound. I’d rather listen to Branch’s song without the crap.
I still think Timbaland is good. Last time he tried this it worked because basis and the Timbaland meshed well. This just sounds weird
Yeah i agree with Indie. He just added a tons of stuff that did not need to be there. Her voice is over power by all that stuff. You can barely hear her. I think she should have just done it on her own. Sounds to me like it would have been better.

michelle branch isnt “back from the dead”, she had a baby several years back and actually stayed home to raise it. plus she had a modestly successful country duo with her best friend Jennie called The Wreckers, who were awesome.
