The Two Corey Will Not Reunite For a Final Time

Corey Feldman will not be attending the funeral of his  BFF and frequent co-star, Corey Haim. The two have had a rocky relationship for quite some time, but supposedly that was behind them. Feldawg’s reason for staying clear of the Haimster’s funeral? He doesn’t want to start a media frenzy.

Feldman’s statement about his decision to skip the burial:

In the days following my best friend Corey Haim’s death, I have spent much time with his mother Judy, who has always been like a mother to me. I would love nothing more than to be by her side at Corey’s funeral, however, due to their strong religious beliefs and need for privacy, the family has decided to make Corey’s funeral on Tuesday a small private affair.

Understanding the recent media attention and to be respectful of the family’s wishes, I have decided not to attend.

Instead, I will remain in Los Angeles quietly mourning and planning his memorial. As a sign of respect, I am asking the media to honor Corey Haim by making the same choice. I am working with a few people who were close to Corey to put a memorial together within the next month. At that time, the media will be invited to honor and celebrate the legacy he has left behind, along with friends, fans and the rest of the Hollywood community.

Hey, whatever.

  • ” honor and celebrate the legacy he has left behind”?

What the fuck might that be?

If it means burning his filthy clothes and his empty pill/ liquor bottles in an old oil drum then I’m all for it.

    “LEGACY” what a joke…..

  • I have to say that I respect Feldman for his handling of this situation and the way that he seemingly has righted his life. I know it’s easy to mock them because they never transitioned out of teen hearthrobdom, but they did leave a lasting impression on popular culture and there is an entire generation of women and men who grew up watching their movies.

A legacy is more than the last few years of someone’s life, no matter how devoid of value you may deem it. I thought that became crystal clear when Michael Jackson died. Or JD Salinger.

I think it’s beautiful that someone wants to cherish the memory of Corey Haim, even if for the selfish reason that I hope when I die, someone wants to remember me.

    • “they did leave a lasting impression on popular culture”

The lasting impression I have of all the no talents running around Hollywood is that they never want to fucking grow up. All they do is drink, drug, fuck, and go to night clubs. I’m sorry for the young man, but he’s better off dead. Maybe his next life will be better. I’m all for recycling. GO GREEN!

  • Molls,

You should really consider going to work for Perez. Your style is much better suited over there, bad spelling, bad grammar, bad attitude and all.

    • Yeah, Blarg most of the people who comment have been telling her to leave this site because she sucks as a gossip writer. Everything is negative, poorly written and just plain boring. GO AWAY MOLLS NOW!

    • Even the title has an error… wow. But who cares about sloppy work when the $$$ are rolling in? Not McBeet!

      • I don’t think Beet cares anymore what the readers think. I mean she started this website and wrote all the time. Now we hardly hear from her and we get stupid posts from Molls all day long. What happened to the funny and inventive posts we used to get? God Beet just freaking listen to your readers please!

  • Hey I don’t care about bashing the Beet, I want to know who raped the Coreys’? Was it Michael Jackson? Any body know?

  • Feldman is unbelieveable! He won’t attend the private funeral but will be front & center at the memorial with camera crews and paparazzi welcome to attend. Either Feldman can’t afford the ticket to Toronto or he is a really bad friend to Haim to the very sad end!!!

  • I saw an interview on Access Hollywood yesterday with one of Haim’s former girlfriends. She knows who molested Haim and insists it was NOT MJ. The mystery continues…

  • “due to their strong religious beliefs”….”I have decided not to attend.”

Someone please enlighten me; what religion forbids the attendance of a (supposed) best friend from attending said friends funeral?

Is this some new Hollywood sect I’m not aware of?
