Corey Haim Connected to Massive Drug Ring

Corey Haim passed away earlier this week and while investigating his death, authorities have uncovered that the actor was involved with a huge prescription drug ring.

From TMZ:

State Attorney General Jerry Brown says his office is conducting a probe of Haim’s death because an unauthorized prescription in his name was found during a probe of fraudulent drug-prescription pads in San Diego.

Brown said the prescription drug ring under investigation operates by ordering prescription drug pads from authorized vendors using stolen doctor identities — i.e., identity fraud.

The pads are sold on the street to prescription drug addicts or dealers.

The A.G. notes that many of the doctors whose names are printed on the forms are unaware that his or her identity has been stolen.

None of this information comes as much of a surprise at this point. Corey’s battle with drugs was long and well-documented, and I think many people are shocked that he made it as long as he did. As for prescription drugs, they are just as dangerous, if not more dangerous than your typical illegal narcotics. They are just as addictive and as long as you can get the money, there’s never a shortage. It’s a real shame is all.

  • Yes lets all weep over the death of another idiotic fucking loser. His life sucked so he got high. Now that his shitty life has ended most likely he is now happy, painless, and at peace. We should be happy for him!

    • Way to be ignorant. I get what you’re saying about him being in a better place now, but to call him “another idiotic fucking loser” is just ignorant. Is that all drug addicts are to you? Because people are not their addictions. Their addictions are not who they are as people. That’s like saying a person with an eating disorder or lung disease caused by their choice to smoke is just “another idiotic fucking loser.” And that’s just idiotic.

      • Was he forced to take pain meds without a valid prescription? Was he forced to take more than prescribed when the prescription was valid? Was there no precedent of others who got hooked on drugs when their use was abused, for him to contemplate and say “hey maybe I shouldn’t be a fucking idiot and keep eating these pills like Pez candies”? I’m not happy or pleased the young man is dead, but I’m not going to lose sleep over him either. I’ll save my suffering for people who don’t have a choice (little children, the elderly, the disabled), not someone who had the choice to slowly kill himself and chose to do it.

  • I do feel that we should try and look on the bright side of this particular development: At least this drug ring will be be broken up and less illegal drugs will end up on the streets.

  • Very good point Sharon, and perhaps Corey was telling his mother and friends that anything he was taking was prescribed for him, which is a lie if the prescriptions were from stolen script pads and he knew about it, those doctors must be pissed as hell and what the implications might have been to their malpractice insurance. Might not have found out until a family sued him for prescribing 4000 Vicodin. Addiction in any form is horrible and costly. Society pays the price, judicially, prisons and crime that affects all of us in one way or another. It’s a disease but one that can be avoided, that’s why so many people don’t feel any compassion for addicts of any substance.

  • I’ve felt more compassion for stray dogs at the pound than I feel for this loser. What a waste of breath.

  • OMG!
This man is/was sexxxy! He wears a buzz cut well and look at his feet! Well above average. We have truly lost a talent. The angels in heaven are truly rejoicing! They have Corey FOREVER! Dang!

  • Polite tia, REALLY? No, I mean REALLY??? Let me know if you still feel that way when your done touching yourself….
