How have I not heard this story previously? Apparently The Today Show was going to a Brady Bunch reunion today, but it fell apart because Eve Plumb hates Maureen McCormick. Everyone’s reps are denying it like crazy, but here’s the email Radar got from Chris Knight’s rep:
“We only have speculation to go on, but to the best of my understanding, it falls on the aggressiveness of Today producers who are not used to getting a “No” for an answer + some major miscommunication between some reps. Eve never does Brady press, especially if Maureen is involved. This went on for decades, so she was never on board to begin with is what I understand.”
And the reason Eve hates Maureen? I CANNOT BELIEVE I FORGOT ABOUT THIS. While Maureen was plugging her stupid book a few years back, she said she’d had a lesbian love affair with Eve Plumb on the set. And now she’s all like “Oh, I was just joking, it was funny hahahahahaha” but back when this happened I remember very clearly that Maureen was dead serious about it and milking it for all the press in the world and it was an obvious and kind of gross and uncool tactic to use to sell a book.
My favorite part of this whole article? Something like 70% of the readers of this blog will have no idea who Maureen McCormick and Eve Plumb or Chris Knight are, and possibly think the Brady Bunch was a boy band.

I feel like everyone has been wanting you to come back and write because of your quality of writing and it seems like everyone who wanted you to write has high standards and are probably over the age of 14. They know The Brady Bunch, they understand where you are coming from about Tyra, and they know you have your own opinions (and clearly, they want to hear from you).

seconded. but for the love of god, get rid of molls. sometimes i think a high-schooler is writing her posts. “waaaah i hate dane cook he was rude to me! just like a large number of celebrities would be if they hadn’t been told there would be backstage guests!! omg he’s corrupting this completely innocent mormon woman who clearly doesn’t have a mind of her own!”

Marcia Marcia Marcia. I think Eve Plumb is just tired of always being “the other sister”, and then evil Marcia goes out and tries to make more money by spilling dirt on poor Jan. Jan said enough of this crap. BWT Jan looks like she could be Marcia’s mother in the side by side picks.

It would have really helped though if you used their role names since most people like myself only remember their on-screen names. I recognized Marcia in the pic but wasn’t sure who the other one was and though it was maybe Carol the mom.
haha same! on thinking at first that the one on the left was carol. she looks way older and unlike jan, while the other one still defs looks like marcia. man, do i feel bad for the people who don’t know brady bunch.
actually, when i first read this post, i got them confused with dj and stephanie (from full house, duh), and i was like ‘wait, isn’t one of them a meth head now?’ and then i realized that i had my sitcoms about (3!) blond sisters confused by about 20 years.
Wow, Maureen has aged far better than Eve. I didn’t even recognize her until started reading the post. Yikes.
i don’t care if there was one or not i’m interested in only seeing a picture of Maureen naked and maybe if you have one of eve too just show me the picture
