Joseph Gordon-Levitt was on Jimmy Fallon last night to promote his hosting gig on SNL tonight and ohhhhhh boy do I have a crush on this man. He spends the first minute of his interview praising the house band, The Roots and goes on to tell them that they are the whole reason why he listens to hip hop music. I don’t know what it is about this kid, maybe just the fact that he’s so handsome and seems so entirely psyched on life, but I probably kind of sort of think I need to marry him. Also, as he says in the interview, his SNL monologue tonight sounds like one not to be missed, so gear up your DVRs or get ready to tune in on Hulu Sunday because I think he may just top Drew Barrymoore and Taylor Swifts already exceptional opening bits on the show.
i love him. the roots are the reason i listen to hip hop too. about 6 years ago someone told me to listen to an album of theirs and i had the same reaction as joseph gordon-levitt. now at least a third of my ipod is hip hop. im still shocked they are the late night house band and they kinda make jimmy fallon cooler.

But, “Taylor Swifts already exceptional opening bits”???? Um, what? As much as I think she is a totally awesome person & can write really good songs, girlfriend CAN’T sing. And her “monologue” song on SNL was dumb.
It was praised across the board. Have you been watching SNL the last few years? The monologues this season have been the best they’ve had in a long time.
I agree. Her song writing skills are considered “good” because they appeal to the masses and average tween girl and her voice is just weak in comparison. Also, I think she peaked way too fast and there will be a Swift backlash sooner or later. Maybe she can write a bunch of catchy, sad songs about that when it happens…Its bound to.

Ha! My roommate was asking why he was so hyper. Hopefully he was just really excited and not snorting lines before he went on. He’s extremely adorable though
It was killing me until I googled his name to find out where I remembered him from… I used to watch 3rd from from the sun regularly back in the day. But now that I watch Dexter, and Dick (hin name from 3rd rock from the sun, I don’t know his real name) is evil there, I kinda felt this kid was evil too… LoL I know doesn’t make much sense, but that show is the only place I know him from, so…
Ok, I’m gonna stop confusing everyone now… BUt seriously, when I googled him I saw this pic where they compared him to heath ledger, and freakishly, he kinda looks like him! At least in that pic anyway…
For real! My husband and I saw the similarities when Joe would smile. They both have that same, genuine smile that makes them seem actually happy. The intro was awesome (who can run up a wall and do a back flip twice?). He was a little over-the-top, but maybe it was to psych himself into doing all the physical stuff he did. It was fun to watch.
So upon further research, this “kid” turns out to be 6 yrs older than me… I guess i should stop calling Mr. Gordon-Levitt a kid then…
