Stephenie Meyer to Star in Comic Book

Female Force: Stephanie Meyer

The author if the Twilight series of novels is slated to appear in her very own comic book, entitled Female Force: Stephenie Meyer.

Bluewater president Darren G. Davis was enthusiastic about the project, saying that Meyer’s story would be, “Very fun, respectful, and unique.”  The comic is scheduled to be released just in time for the sequel to the Twilight film titled New Moon, which is set for debut in late November of 2009.  Meyer joins good company with Female Force, a series of books designed to look at the biographies of modern women who are having an impact on the culture and history of our world.

Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, and Michelle Obama have also been the subjects of other Female Force editions. I personally want the Sarah Palin edition framed and hanging on my living room wall.

I’m looking at their site right now, and I’m having a hard time believing this shit is for real.

  • Okay first: Are you fucking kidding me? Stephanie Meyer? Really?

And second: Is that Ann Coulter I see in the last preview?

  • Wow.
As if theses comics didn’t seem weird enough already, why in the world would they include such a mediocre writer in with influential political women?

      • The only reason it was a best seller was because of millions of insecure teen aged girls. They liked it because the main female character was supposed to be an average looking girl and a sexy vampire falls for her. Anyone that respects good writing understands that this book was crap. She totally doesn’t deserve the same honour as Michelle Obama, Oprah, etc.

      • JK Rowling has written eight best sellers (The tales of Beedle the Bard + HP 1-7) yet she has no comic book. Bull. Shit.

      • I don’t need to write a best seller to recognize mediocre writing.
Read a real book, not one you can pick up in the ‘Teen’ section of your local Barnes and Noble.

      • You can write a bestseller and it can still be a shit book (Twilight, Da Vinci Code). Don’t be such a bitch to Robin, it’s so out of order,

      • It may be a best seller but you cannot credit the writing, there is no doubt it is engaging but it’s not exactly a piece of literary genius is it?

  • SHE IS NOT THAT GREAT OF A WRITER! TWILIGHT HAS RIDICULOUS RELIGIOUS UNDERTONES! DIE TWITARDS!

  • Really this seems like such a bad joke and on the line about her writing best sellers. There are so many writers that have had best sellers that weren’t crappy fanfiction esque drawl

  • i liked the books even though i could tell the writing wasn’t that good.. i don’t really care about this comic book though..

  • What a huge slap in the face to the women in the comic book lineup. They have worked to achieve something, better humanity, etc (even if you don’t agree with them politially)….SM writes a mediocre at best book. Yes, yes, I know. IT IS A BEST SELLER! That doesn’t mean it is any good.
