Even Robin Thicke doesn’t know what he’s doing

Robin Thicke has been trying his hardest to win back his estranged wife, Paula Patton, after cheating on her repeatedly for years on end. He didn’t mean anything by it, though! And now begging for her forgiveness onstage, crying in a music video and naming an album after her will hopefully allow it to all be swept under the rug. It doesn’t seem to be working, but that doesn’t mean he’s giving up… even if he doesn’t exactly know what he’s doing.

From Good Morning America (via US Weekly):

“I actually have no idea what I’m doing. I’m just kind of flying by the seat of my pants on this one,” he admitted on Wednesday, July 2, during an appearance on Good Morning America. “I just wanted to make something artistic out of a very difficult period. When you lose the love of your life, you don’t have much to hide anymore.”

“She’s the best person I ever met,” he added, “so I thought the least I could do would be to devote an album to her.”

Speaking of the track “Forever Love,” Thicke explained that he wanted to send a hopeful message about their future. “I didn’t want [the record] to be all depressing because I didn’t want her to listen to it and [be] sad only,” he told GMA, “so I wanted there to be moments where she had hope and positivity that…her and I can both still have a great life, no matter what happens and we’ll be great friends and great parents.” (The couple share son Julian, 4.)

Oh, Robin – she IS having a great life… it’s just without your sorry ass. She doesn’t need hope and positivity – she got that the day she got rid of you.
