If ever a time came when the apocalypse seemed closer than ever, that day is today, because George Clooney is apparently engaged. The world’s biggest bachelor and sexy silver fox is said to have proposed to girlfriend Amal Alamuddin.
Keep in mind they’ve been dating less than a year, and the news is coming from the New York Post’s Page Six, but it seems pretty solid.
Alamuddin, 36, was spotted showing off an engagement ring as she and Clooney, 52, dined at Nobu in Malibu on Thursday night with Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber.
A source told Page Six, “George and Amal hoped keep the engagement quiet, but they can’t hide the fact that they are very happy.”
When contacted on Friday night by Page Six, Clooney’s rep Stan Rosenfield didn’t confirm or deny the engagement, simply telling us, “I do not comment on his personal life.”
Huh, very strange. Is this all to get back at Stacy Keibler and her shotgun wedding/pregnancy? He hardly seems the jealous/vindictive type, but I suppose it takes all kinds. Bizarre!

Supposedly Sarah Larson (or whichever waitress from Vegas he dated) embarrassed him every time she spoke. Keibler was mommy-ready, and Cannalis was involved in some shady dealings. It seems like yes, this could be a shotgun engagement (if true), but he is dating someone who isn’t Hollywood, has her own career, and probably doesn’t need him to pay for things. The others seemed like game whores; this woman doesn’t.
So Mr I’ll never get married again decided in less than a yr he had to lock this chick up and put a ring on it? Seems a bit fishy to me I don’t care how much he may love her but why now and why so soon why at all? Is it just me or does she have a real Anne Hathaway look to her? whatever
He’s just doing this to get back at The Elf (Stacy Kiebler) for going so public with moving on so quickly. He’s used to being the main focus, so I’m sure the attention she received drove him nuts.
