I’m sorta torn on Chelsea Handler – on one hand, if you will, she’s quite crass and bawdy, which, for a woman in Hollywood is not really a recipe for success, so I kind of applaud her for not giving a shit about what she says. On the other hand… she’s crass and bawdy and doesn’t give a shit about what she says, you know? In theory, I like that she’s a mess, but in actuality, it’s pretty off-putting.
In any case, it’s because of those conflicting feelings that I don’t watch Chelsea Lately (and that I’m curious as to how her and Jennifer Aniston are apparently BFF). If you do watch the show, however, you’ll probably be sad to know that it’s coming to an end in December.

Handler has long been vocal about her dissatisfaction with the network though such complaints could be perceived as part of a negotiation. In this case, Azoff tells The Hollywood Reporter, “Chelsea intends to leave when her contract expires. She hired me to figure out her life after E! We have at least seven suitors and many ideas.” He adds that plans for Handler could include a radio presence and a possible nightly or weekly late-night show on another network or digital service.
An E! spokesperson stated to THR: “Chelsea has nine months left on her contract and E! will not comment on the future of Chelsea Lately at this time.”
Well, that’s that. I wonder what she’ll end up doing next? Hopefully not writing another book – I read one of them and the entire first chapter was dedicated to her love of masturbation as a kid. Thanks for sharing, but not really something we needed to know.
