Hang on to your hats, Taylor Swift fans, because she’s preparing her new album and it’s going to be way different than her last one! Of course, that would be the assumption for most artists: as time passes, you grow personally and professionally and your sound will evolve to reflect that. That’s what’s happening with TSwift – the biggest pop star in the world, in case you forgot – as she collaborates with other writers to put together her next string of hits.

“I’m really loving collaboration right now. I see it as a bit of an apprenticeship. I want to be around people who love writing songs and have done it for years.
“Every time I’m in a studio I’m learning, like how to build a drum track, and getting a new perspective on things. It’s so thrilling to keep learning on your fifth album.
“As soon as [an album] comes out, I’m figuring out what the next one will be. It’s gotten to the point where each one is a reinvention, which is what I like best. I like it when it sounds new and people don’t know where you’re going to go next.”
I’ll be interested to see what the next album is like, to be honest. I really liked Red – it had some jams on it. If it’s in the same vein, this one will be a winner, too.
