Ms. Breslin’s been growing up right before our very eyes. Here’s what she said of the photos, via Huffington Post:
I don’t make these conscious decisions to do it, to like prove to the world that I’m grown up. I think people see my work and see what I do and see that I’m grown up. But yeah, I’m almost 18. Every headline for the past three years has been ‘Abigail Breslin All Grown Up,’ so I am kind of growing up. I do want to try different things but it’s all for fun.

How come the only way a female celebrity can show she is grown up is to be photographed naked? It can’t be the mere act of being nude since they are born nude. If you’re trying to prove to us that you have been through puberty, that is an assumption we can comfortably make without anyone disrobing.
