Yesterday we featured the “making of” Rihanna‘s ‘Pour It Up’ video, but the whole thing is here and it seems like everyone with Internet access is talking about it, so why shouldn’t we? Admittedly, I don’t think it’s as good as all the hype claimed it would be, but I also think Miley needs to take a seat and learn how twerking is really done.
It’s all strippers, money, asses and the like, but that’s ‘Pour It Up’s whole message, so what else was the video going to be like? I like that she’s channeling Biggie and that this is her version of female empowerment – and do you, girl, by all means – but there’s something missing and I can’t quite put my finger on what that is.
Regardless, you’ve gotta hand it to Rihanna for literally giving zero fucks on a daily basis. That deserves recognition, if nothing else!
