Here’s a Clip from Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin’s ‘Labor Day’

I’ve had to Google what Labor Day – based on the novel by Joyce Maynard – is all about, and here’s what I came up with: a depressed single mom (Kate Winslet) offers some random dude (Josh Brolin) a home, only to find out he’s an escaped convict and the police are closing in. Sounds like a hoot, right? (No, seriously – I am on board for anything Kate Winslet does.)

The film screened at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday, but now there’s a clip – called ‘How Far Are the Train Tracks’ – for us all to watch and enjoy. It looks a bit gritty, a bit trashy and probably really compellingly watchable, but then again, I’m biased – Winslet’s in it, and I adore her. What do you guys think? Would you see this? Fun fact: Apparently production on the film was held back for a year so that Josh Brolin could take part.

Tobey Maguire and James Van Der Beek are also in it, so should be interesting…
