Naked photos of Lady Gaga in a field were posted online earlier with not much else to go on. But it turns out that there is a reason. Gaga’s trying to shamelessly earn art cred joining up with legendary performance artist, Marina Abramovic for…I’m still not sure what this is for. This is even more confusing than January Jones’ shark video, and that was pretty damn straightforward.
It’s for a project that’s…uh…f-ck it, here’s what their vimeo page has to say:
Last week at a three-day retreat in upstate New York, Marina instructed Lady Gaga in the Abramovic Method–a series of exercises designed to heighten participants’ awareness of their physical and mental experience in the present moment.
There’s also a link to their kickstarter page and ask you for money for…I’m still not sure what. Well, not “they”. Abramovic. I am a big fan of Abramovic and as legendary as she is in the art would, I could understand why she would need Kickstarter to fund something.
Gaga was just named #1 richest celebrity under 30. In about 1 year she made $80 million dollars, and would have made who knows how much more if she hadn’t had to cancel her tour due to hip injury (stats from People). So don’t worry, she’s not asking for your money.
If you want to see naked Gaga (and she looks great) be warned that this video also contains footage of Gaga lying down on a hardwood floor holding a note for like 4 f-cking hours, and that note is the soundtrack for the whole 2 minutes.
I’m really surprised this video isn’t directed by Lars von Trier.
