Douchey and eye-rolling or harmless humblebrag?
The latter.
It would have been douchey if he’d insisted everyone leave him alone because he was off-duty. Sounds like he’s just letting people know he doesn’t do that. And if he enjoys the attention, well, he’s earned it. :-)
