Blind Item Shocker: Somewhere There’s A Pretty Actress Who Isn’t Smart Or Talented

blind item

This blind item could be about a lot of different actresses, and yet I’m having a hard time pinning one down. I wanted to say Katherine Heigl until I remembered that she won an Emmy for dramatic acting. Bottom line, somewhere out there is a pretty actress known for romantic comedies who isn’t very bright. Here’s the item from Allie Is Wired via Blind Gossip:

This female star’s niche is rom-coms and she made a name for herself in comedies. She is basically just a pretty face and she has tried dramatic roles with substance, but her looks just don’t translate into talent. In fact, some fellow celebs wonder how she gets roles that require more than an ounce of skill.

She also claims to read scripts with excruciating detail, but in reality an assistant usually gets the job of reading her parts to her. On several occasions she had to have “big words” explained to her.

Could it be Amanda Seyfried? She really only gets acclaim for her comedic roles and the “had to have big words explained to her” part makes me think of her role as Karen in Mean Girls. Maybe her Linda Lovelace movie will change perceptions of her. Yeah, she’s my guess.

What do you think?

  • Nah, because Kate Hudson was good in “The Skeleton Key”, and that wasn’t comedic in any sense. Almost Famous wasn’t dramatic but it’s also not a romantic comedy. It had serious scenes and dramatic ones as well, so it sort of required some kind of skill beyond being funny.

Mila Kunis can’t be THAT dumb, she learned a second language and not only fast but she knows it spot on, no accent or trouble with words/phrases. Someone who “needs help with big words” would have a really hard time learning another language. Unintelligent people aren’t normally affluent in several languages. And Russians are usually pretty smart people. My boyfriend is from Ukraine and speaks Russian like her, and he told me about the education system there and how it blows America’s out of the water. They educate their youth far better than we do. He is a college professor here, so he should know.

    • Yes, they do SUUUCH a good job educating their youth that they are barely above Third World living standards.
