Eat What Miranda Kerr Does For Breakfast

miranda kerr facebook

Miranda Kerr, supermodel/Gwyneth Paltrow’s crush, is preeeeetttaaay much flawless. I came across this recipe for her breakfast and I was tempted to make some sort of “oh supermodels eat breakfast now ha ha” joke to myself but I put my cynicism on hold to check it out. Basically it’s what Gwyneth Paltrow has for breakfast — some sort of smoothie with ingredients that you need to go to Whole Foods to find. I like to make juice but I’m too lazy to clean it up. I love lamp.

Anyway, here’s what’s in Miranda Kerr’s breakfast drink. From Style Bistro:

— 1 glass cold-pressed coconut milk
— 1 glass coconut wate
— 1 tablespoon acai powder
— 1 tablespoon goji berries
— 1 tablespoon spirulina
— 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
— 1 tablespoon maca powder
— 1 tablespoon chia seeds
— 1 1/2 tablespoons regan rice protein powder

NO LIES, I had to google “spirulina”. It is a “dietary supplement.” Most of this drink is various powders. Here’s a video of her talking about it and making it.

Want to go full Kerr? Do some yoga. From Handbag.com:

I have been practicing yoga for over a decade now and it is a very important part of my life. It doesn’t matter where I am or what I am doing, yoga gives me the opportunity to switch off and focus entirely on my body and my breath. Yoga allows me to meditate and reflect on what’s important in my life. It is also great for core strength and maintaining agility. I practiced yoga during my entire pregnancy and I hope to practice for the rest of my life.

I feel the same way about eating melted cheese. I will never look like Miranda Kerr. :( And oh God, I have really bad heartburn right now. I picked the worst time to read this.

  • It’s a great smoothie recipe. Sorry, Catherine – your diet isn’t one for beauty or health. If you want to criticize – it’s expensive to make her smoothie. Coconut water (the “r” is missing in the recipe) is ungodly expensive whether you buy it in a can or a box. Raw cocoa, goji berries, maca powder, chia seeds, rice protein and spirulina are pricey too. You can be glad that melted cheese is cheap – I suppose. You’re saving money – but little else.

      • Yeah, mostly about SAD (Standard American Diet). I’m on “the other side” and have been for 30+ years cuz I get real sick eating SAD. I’m in the minority on celebrity gossip sites. You don’t hear much from people who don’t eat “whatever”. Deal with it. :) LOL. I’m not suggesting that anyone eat like I do – but I can share the other point of view here since the folks who run EvilBeet are very generous about allowing opinions and they don’t censor anything!

      • To clarify things – if I eat the SAD, I have rheumatoid arthritis, sjoren’s and start getting borderline diabetic. :( All my money goes for quality food. The only up side is that I look 15 years younger than I am and am still wearing a size 4 or a 6. Those are the “side effects”. The side effects of arthritis meds and diabetes will literally take 15+ years off your life and create more illness. So, that is my choice. I wish I had Kerr’s food budget.

    • My oldest ate 2 chicken breasts stuffed with prosciutto, mushrooms, smoked provolone, mushroom herb cream sauce and asparagus at 6:00pm. Had a protein bar at 8:30pm & before bed will drink a whole milk protein shake with 3tbs of peanut butter. He’s eating 5,500 calories a day.
