Charlotte Church, age 22, is expecting her second child with Gavin Henson. From her blog:
Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson are delighted to announce that they are expecting another baby. The couple are thrilled, as are their immediate families.
Meanwhile, Charlotte has confirmed that she will fulfill her commitment to Channel 4 to present the third series of The Charlotte Church Show in July and August of this year.
I like that she says their “immediate families” are thrilled. As though Gavin’s second cousin is really fucking pissed about the whole thing.
Regardless, congrats Charlotte and Gavin!

Well for 1 i think shes pregnant in that picture and 2 she still looks good – and shes an amazing talent. Who gives a dam about if she has a few extra pounds or whatever. Charlotte church as always prided herself on the fact she is who she is – and she doesnt give a dam about what people think about her. She might not be as thin as someone like paris 2 brain cell hilton but she is incredibly gifted – how many people can say they have sang to presidents as a teenager etc not many – stop looking at her weight as an issue
Some pregnant women do indeed get fat, and she is one of them. Just because another life is growing inside of someone doesn’t mean they have to be HUGE, and if they are that’s ok. But, there’s no reason she can’t be called fat. So what. I’m a woman who’s never been pregnant, never been fat, and hope never to be either… Anyway, she said a bunch of stupid things after 9/11, saying Americans were “overdramatizing”, and “need to get over it”. I remember Tina Fey called her out on it on SNL “Weekend Update” stating that we could be content knowing she would get fat one day…. Touche, Tina Fey. You are a prophetess to be wreckoned with…LOL.

But aside from that, weight seems to be a real issue on this blog…. this person is fat, that person is pretty but she’s fat, I’m so embarrassed at how fat my cats are. You know what, we get it – you fear fat in any form and exhibit a certain degree of hostility to all things fat.

it’s funny how people forgive anything because someone is pregnant, even if they’re extremely fat. No, it’s not okay. Your first priority is yourself! taking care of yourself and making sure you are the best possible person you can be. If you can’t do that and be pregnant, then gasp don’t get pregnant! We’ere over populated as it is and as much as people like to think so, their child isn’t the most special thing in the world.
and the person who said that charlotte is a strong woman, uh no. she had post-partem depression after her 1st kid and honestly there’s a good chance she didn’t exactly want to have another kid right now, but it either happenedlike Jaimee-lynn) or her husband kept pushing for it. and being 22 and already married with 2 kids is generally a sign of a woman who is not strong and who doesn’t value herself enough to pursue the other dreams that she has.
Why can’t she be a married mum at 22, and still be a strong woman? Isn’t a woman’s strength about whether she makes her own decisions about her life and her body? Plus, while she is not stick-skinny, she is definitely healthy, and that should be one of our highest values- NOT looking like a twig. If she can teach her children to be just as strong and healthy, that’s a wonderful thing.

i got hugely fat when i was pregnant with my first baby and i was only 100lbs before then and 3-4 years after baby im still 115lbs it pisses me off!!! some women dont take it as a license to eat their body just goes crazy, its called hormones. some also grow hairs in places never been before. i am frightened to get pregnant again because im afraid i’ll become a blimp again!!! i’m not eating next time LOL i miss my pre-baby body :(

its not her fault if her baby fat goes everywhere rather than just her stomach, it shouldnt matter.. its still happened because shes pregnant, not because shes eaten too much
