We’re not going to discount it, because it is, in fact, a date, and even if the guy in question turns out to be nothing more than a friend or a business partner, that’s OK—Katie Holmes would have never been allowed in public with another male if she were still obeying Tom Cruise’s commands. And yeah, while he may look kind of cornball, he still looks like a genuinely happy person, not someone all stone-faced and dangerously obsessed with looking perfect for the cameras and His Public.
Incidentally, I’m about halfway through the first season of ‘Dawson’s Creek’, and I’ve got to admit—I’m frigging addicted. I was having ‘Dawson’s Creek’ dreams last night. It’s bad. And they said Katie Holmes couldn’t act. Pfft. In what universe? Gosh. Best. Show. Ever.
If you’ll excuse me, I’m about to go and watch ‘Baby’, the sixth episode in Season 1. I’m assuming Joey’s sister is going to have her baby, hence the ‘Baby’ title, and I just cannot wait to see what unfolds between Dawson’s parents after his mother was found to be CHEATING WITH BOB. Ugh. I just can’t even. No spoilers, please, OK?
I just started watching too and am only a couple episodes ahead…I love it! I believe my exact words to my friend were “I feel like my whole life has been leading up to me loving dawson’s creek,” which isn’t dramatic at all.
Haha! I know what you mean! Every episode I watch, I’m like, “How did I not love this when I was 16”? Watching each episode so far has been like reliving my teenage years, lol.
I got addicted really easily, too. Unfortunately, I got tired of it at the end of Season 1, and have since stopped watching. Incidentally, “Baby” is my favorite episode so far.

Sarah, did you watch the episode “boyfriend” yet? Did you LOL about the daytime beach party and the blond dude? Cause I sure did. And I just can’t get enough of Katie Holmes’ faces…her sneers, her eye rolls! And ugh i love Michelle Williams so desperately. Thank God for netflix and the nineties.
YES! “Boyfriend” and “Baby” have been the best shows ever so far. I also love the one where they travel to Providence, and Dawson’s all like, ‘the man’ because he kissed that Nina chick (who I *totally* thought was a lesbian) outside the club. It’s all so glorious!
