Guess Who’s Making Music Again!

If you can’t guess who the talented, lovely lady is, here’s a Tweet claiming that these recent photos were taken by surprise:

Yup, it’s Lily Allen! And these photos were taken outside of a recording studio late last week in London. Sources are saying that writing the music for the ‘Bridget Jones’ play only whetted her appetite to return to the studio. From AceShowbiz:

“Her life has changed so much since her last album and she now has a different perspective,” a source told the Daily Star about how she evolved since 2009’s “It’s Not Me, It’s You”. The source added, “Lily wants a more mature sound and is penning tracks about Ethel and Sam.”

“Lily has been in the studio trying different sounds and writing new tracks,” the insider furthermore testified. “She’s not at a stage where she can start recording but the new album is definitely underway and there’s a chance it could be released early next year.”

Talking about how the decision to return to music entered her mind, the source stated, “When Lily retired she honestly thought she’d never record again. But she started writing for the new Bridget Jones musical and that gave her the bug back.”

I’m so happy for the things that Lily’s accomplished. She had her baby, started her family, took a break from music to get some perspective on things, like she wanted, and now she’s back! I fully expect her new stuff to be even better than ever, because Lily Allen’s just f-cking awesome, point blank, and she’s always set in a soft spot in my heart.
