Jamie Foxx replaced by Nick Cannon as Beat Shazam host

You may recall that Jamie Foxx was on the set of his new movie a month ago when he had some kind of medical issue. Rumors say aneurism or stroke, but that’s not been confirm.

And while Jamie is still hospitalized and working towards recovery, someone has to take over as host of ‘Beat Shazam’ game show.

And who better to ask then the current king of game show hosting, Nick Cannon! The 42-year-old father of 12 has replaced the 55-year-old Oscar winner on popular game show Beat Shazam according to TMZ on Wednesday.

Jamie continues to get better, but the fact that he’s still hospitalized after almost 4 weeks of treatment isn’t a good sign.

Last Friday, People.com spoke with a source who confirmed Foxx (born Eric Bishop) was ‘awake and alert’ in a ‘Georgia medical facility.’

‘He’s OK, thank God,’ the source said. ‘He’s still in the hospital and doctors are running tests but he’s awake and alert. They’re keeping him under observation.’
