Banksy leaves mark on Ukraine

By now I imagine we’re all familiar, on some level, with the artist Banksy. The unknown but wildly popular street artist whose satirical stencil graffiti command upwards of millions of dollars once they’re pried from the walls they inhabit.

In recent years Banksy has taken to more indoor work and created for shows, but he’s recently gone back to his roots of social commentary in places of great strife.

This month he was in Ukraine to express his frustration with Russias
unjust aggression.

One work echoes a David and Goliath situation to represent the two countries. Kids ride a seesaw on metal left from explosions. Ballerinas dance to provide some beauty in the war-torn region.
