Eurovision Winners donate winnings to Ukraine war effort

I’ve said it several times.  The Ukrainian people are a solid unit. All for one and one for all.

A few weeks ago a band called Kalush Orchestra wowed judges of the highly regarded Eurovision competition.  The contest pits performers from all over Europe against one another to determine who is the best.

This year the band Kalush Orchestra, which hails from Ukrain, touched judges greatly with their performance and managed to win the coveted trophy.

On Sunday they sold the crystal microphone they were awarded in a Facebook auction led by Ukrainian TV presenter Serhiy Prytula.  They brought in $900,000 and promptly donated it to the war effort.

Associated Press says the funds raised will be used to purchase for the armed forces the PD-2 unmanned aerial system, which includes three aircraft and a ground control station.
