There had been talk about Ellen’s show coming to a close ever since the pandemic hit. She received a lot of backlash for her ridiculous comparison between her massive Santa Barbara home and being in prison. She cut personnel and was accused of just being a bitch to work for. Real “Don’t look her in the eye” bull shit. So what finally did it? Probably all that.
Now Dateline.com is reporting a date is out for when the whole thing comes with a close.
After 19 seasons, the very last episode of The Ellen Degeneres Show will air on Thursday, May 26.
The guest list leading up to this finale will be a who’s who of her celebrity friends including former First Lady Michelle Obama, Jennifer Garner, Channing Tatum, Serena Williams, Zac Efron, Adam Levine, Behati Prinsloo, Gwen Stefani, David Letterman, Diane Keaton, Kim Kardashian, and DeGeneres’ wife, Portia de Rossi.
Following the finale, The Ellen DeGeneres Show will continue to run on affiliate stations throughout the summer with guest hosts, compilation shows and repeats.
