Kobe Bryant’s 2004 Nike sneakers hit auction

It’s been almost two years since we lost Kobe Bryant to the tragic helicopter accident that took his life as well as his daughters and 7 other people.  Seems like a tasteful amount of time before you start selling his clothes.

We’re off to Geneva Switzerland – where who knew Kobe fans existed – to get a shot at his blue, white and gold Nike Air Zoom Huarache 2K4 basketball shoes.

They’re expected to fetch up to 35,000 Swiss francs (about $38,000) during a November 11 sale at Sotheby’s. Bryant wore the sneakers in a March 17, 2004, victory over the L.A. Clippers, according to the auction house.

He’s got some competition tho.  At the same auction will be several baubles from France’s Marie Antoinette!
