I can’t stress the aggravation this “Friends” reunion is causing me. The waiting and waiting and lack of information about anything going on…. I could burst.
Finally today HBO Max made an announcement!
Friends: The Reunion, is set to air on the streaming service on May 27. Stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer will all return to the beloved sitcom’s original soundstage. The iconic bunch also helped to executive produce the special alongside Friends executive producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane.
Now for my concern. HBO MAX also released a list of guest stars. And there in lies the problem. No show with this many guest stars could be any good. You read…
Guests include David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon and Malala Yousafzai.
Are you kidding me? How… You know how the series finale of a lot shows suck, b/c they try to smash in every guest to every do the show? Seinfeld was a perfect example. No storyline can smoothly inject all these people. So now we’re basically watching a variety show that also includes the cast of friends.
