I REEEALLLY think Netflix is wrong on this one. The streaming giant has supposedly given Harry and Meghan around $100,000,000 to create content that is hopeful and inspirational for their network.
But here’s the rub… (for me at least)… is that those two hardly make me feel inspired. She’s a C list actress and he’s a guy born into royalty. He’s kind of a simp, too.
The couple have founded a yet-to-be-named production company which will make documentaries, feature films, scripted shows and children’s programming, according to The New York Times.
The deal is similar to that of Michele and Barack Obama and there’s no WAY Harry and Meghan command the respect the O’s do.
Only time will tell but the two released a statement; ‘Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us.’
They added that Netflix’s ‘unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action.’
Their content will be exclusive to Netflix, which has 193 million subscribers worldwide.
