Is Amanda Bynes Returning to TV?

Back in 2012 Amanda Bynes was at the start of a terrible downward spiral.  The girl made famous by her self titled ‘The Amanda Show’ on Nickelodeon was in every direction, throwing bongs out

windows, getting her license suspended and tweeting at Rihanna that “Chris brown beat you because you’re not pretty enough”.3EF1718400000578-4380438-image-a-170_1491337310557

She was finally hospitalized on an involuntary psychiatric holdin 2016, after setting fire to a driveway in the neighborhood she grew up in. The evaluation concluded that Amanda was bipolar and manic depressive, both of which she started taking medication for.

Now PageSix is reporting that the child star is being sought after by the same studios where she got her start.

PS reports TV insiders are trying to get Amanda Bynes back on Nickelodeon.

A source said producers have been “trying to reach” Bynes — who recently completed a second year at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Orange County — to come up with an idea for a new show with her.

We’re told the hope is that they could find a way to “work with her again in a positive and healthy way. She has a tremendous amount of talent.”

Reps for Nickelodeon aren’t talking.

  • She only got famous in the first place (& “The Amanda Show” offer) due to being on “All That”, which also gave us Kenan Thompson, arguably the most-talented member of the “Saturday Night Live” cast (unless Jimmy Fallon rejoins).
