Oceans 8 will begin shooting in New York in October. The all female cast is an interesting one for sure.  Sandra BullockCate Blanchett,  Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter and Mindy Kaling..

The MacGyver reboot will remain true to the original when it comes to inventive ways to save the day, say EP Peter Lenkov.  “He’s a cerebral person; his superpower is his brain,” he said. “Technology  is so prevalent these days it’s clearly going to play a role in the show, but paper clip is still No. 6 on the call sheet.”

Kevin James‘ new sitcom for tv doesn’t seem to far off from the one that made him a household name.  “Kevin Can Wait“, created by James, is set in Long Island NY and centers around a retired cop.  But blue collar New Yorker is what he does best.

Jason Momoa, (Thor, Khal Drogo, Mr Lisa Bonet), is in talks to star in a reboot of the 1984 hit “The Crow”.  Variety reports the story “follows a musician who is murdered while trying to save his fiancé. He is then brought back from the dead by supernatural forces and seeks revenge.”

NBCUniversal just signed a massive deal with Warner Bros., giving it exclusive access to J. K. Rowling’s Wizarding World franchise. The agreement will give NBCU on-air  TV rights for all eight Harry Potter films. The agreement spans from 2018 to 2025, and could be one of the biggest movie franchise deals ever.  So forget about randomly seeing Harry numerous times around cable each weekend.  If you’re worried this will affect the number of times it’s aired, don’t be. NBC owns a buttload of channels. USA, E! and Bravo alone could wear it out.
