Simpson’s screenwriter and producer Al Jean revealed at San Diego Comic-Con a possible follow up to the 2007 movie. He explained: ‘We talk about it, but if we do it, we only want to do it if it’s going to be really good.
‘We would never do it just to cash in, so if it comes out, it’s because we believe in it.’ Jean guessed the chances of a sequel were at 50%, but the fact that they threw it out there has plenty of fans asking “WHY????” – (ok, I was that fan).
