As we’re all well aware of by now, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have found love (or at least presumably enjoyable sex) with one another after divorcing their respective partners, and things are going really well. It seems like The Voice does serve a purpose, after all — it’s a real hook-up joint! I don’t think anyone is really against the Gwen and Blake relationship, but one person in particular is super into it: Christina Aguilera, their fellow Voice coach!
“I’ve known Gwen for a really long time,” she told Us Weekly at Verizon’s HopeLine campaign event in L.A. supporting domestic violence prevention and awareness. “We went to each others’ kids birthday parties, we share the same management, and Blake I know now from the show.”
“The two of them are both great people,” Aguilera, 34, continued. “Gwen’s such a great mother and a hard-working mother too! It’s not easy to juggle The Voice and music and children — it takes a strong woman. And obviously I’m always in support of that. And I do know what it’s like to go through a divorce myself, and it’s tough!”
“I keep telling them both to stay strong and have fun! Divorce and life is hard enough! If you find someone who makes you happy, you gotta go for it. So they deserve it and they deserve to be happy!”
How much do you love Christina Aguilera? This quote just makes her seem like the most chill, laid back person ever and it’s hilarious/excellent. “Stay strong and have fun” is kinda the best relationship advice ever, as well, particularly since we know this is not going to be a long-term thing. Rebound relationships never last, but they can be fun in the meantime!
