Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon officially ended their relationship in January 2015, and while they’ve remained reluctant co-parents to their young twins, there still seems to be a bit of animosity there. Mariah has moved on and has a new boyfriend already, but she can’t really plan a future with him just yet since Nick is trying desperately to slow their divorce proceedings down, presumably so he can get a hold of more of her money.

Mariah Carey is nothing if not deliciously diabolical … we found out she had dinner with her divorce lawyers this week to come up with a plan to put the screws to Nick Cannon, who’s dragging his feet in their divorce, and at the same time assuring new BF, James Packer, she’ll be free to marry him soon.
We found out after getting a star Wednesday on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, she went to dinner with disso-queen Laura Wasser and fellow lawyer, Melanie Mandles. Our sources say they were looking for pressure points to make Nick seal the deal on the divorce. They believe he’s dragging his feet.
We’re told it’s all about money … there’s no doubt she’ll have the lion’s share of custody of the twins.
There’s an urgency to getting Nick to sign off, because we’re told Mariah wants her billionaire BF to know she won’t be in limbo for long. It’s an issue for him, so she dealt with it by having a little girl talk over sushi at Nobu with her pal, Stella Bulochnikov.
Uh, how is Mariah “deliciously diabolical” because she wants the end of her relationship with her ex to be official as soon as possible? Whatever.
That aside, shoulda signed a pre-nup. Then this thing could have been done and dusted quickly. It’s disgusting that Nick is that desperate for Mariah’s money. You would think that shoddy AGT hosting job pays him more than enough to live comfortably, but I guess not. Get a fucking job, man. Being married to someone for a few years does not entitle you to decades’ worth of month your partner made before you were even in the picture, and the law needs to reflect that if it doesn’t already.
Doubt she is in a rush to have children with any other guy .. suffering a lot.. almost dying while pregnant, you wanting her fit and ready to make you more asap;.. tell your pa Nick.., a motivational televangelist; he’s a creepy jerk giving cruddy, uncaring, demanding, uncomfortable marriage advice of every wrong sort, at the wrong time and the son didn’t fall far from that tree not telling the old man to shove it back inside and shut up.. man up for her sake and becoming understanding and kind while she gains strength and becomes healthy..
