Things are going from bad to worse for Jared Fogle. Subway was all ready to put him in the Family Man role for their upcoming sandwich campaigns (???) and he’d even booked a cameo in Sharknado 3, which we all know is the pinnacle of any man’s career, and now neither of those things will happen. In fact, they cut him right out of Sharknado 3 without another thought. Even shitty movies want nothing to do with child pornography.
US Weekly confirmed the decision with SyFy, a rep for which stated that Fogel won’t appear in the July 22nd broadcast. The power of post-production! Subway has unceremoniously dumped him, as well, despite the fact that they originally insisted that they believed he was innocent and that this was just about his old colleague’s wrongdoings. That tune seems to have changed, for whatever reason.
Obviously there are so few details on this one that for once, I find it hard to pass judgment. If I had to go with my gut, I’d say that Fogle has always struck me as kinda creepy, but lots of people are creeps but aren’t pedophiles, so there’s that. I seriously worry about the state of this world.
