So, a while back, people started talking about Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell doing a Lifetime movie together, but then Will Ferrell put the kabosh on the whole thing and released a statement saying the movie wasn’t happening because it was supposed to be a secret and we ruined it by finding out about it. Of course, it actually IS happening, and it’s called A Deadly Adoption and from the short teaser trailer that’s now been released, it looks INSANE.
Just because you’re probably as confused as I am after watching it, I should confirm that this is indeed tongue-in-cheek. It’s supposed to be a parody of a stereotypical Lifetime movie and it was made just in time for the network’s 25th anniversary. It’ll air on June 20, and I don’t know about you, but this is so weird, I have to watch.
