I don’t know about you, but I’m still listening to Taylor Swift‘s last album, 1989. fairly regularly. That album is full of ~jams~ from start to finish and it’s going to be pretty hard for her to outdo herself next time. But she’s still looking forward to a new album that’s “very different” from this one when it DOES happen – and that includes Kanye West, as we all know.
From Entertainment Tonight:
“We’ve never been in the studio together, but he’s got a lot of amazing ideas. He’s one of those people who is just like idea, idea, like, ’What do you think of this?’ ’What do you think of that?’ He’s very creative and I think we’ve talked about it, but we’ve always talked about so many other things. I think I completely respect his vision as a producer, so thats all I know now. I have no idea what the next album is going to be, though.”
“I’m not making the next record yet. That’s going to take a lot of thinking about what that should be, because with 1989 — I love this album so much that I think it would be doing a real disservice to this album to try to copy it the next time around,” she said. “I think it’s going to have to be something very, very different creatively.”
Well, at least she’s not rushing anything for the sake of keeping her career on the run. Then again, it’s not like her popularity will be waning any time soon. The entire world LOVES Taylor Swift and she’s about to embark on a tour (if it hasn’t already started – I can’t remember) that will run for several years. I think she’s here to stay.
As for that Kanye collaboration… I’m a bit scared, to be honest. Nothing good can come of this… or can it?
I honestly don’t see the upside for TS? She doesn’t need this collaboration so. Mind you KW doesn’t need this either so . why bother?
