It’s officially awards season, and the biggest and baddest of ’em all, the Oscars (or Academy Awards, if you like to be more refined) has just announced their nominations for 87th annual ceremony to be held in Los Angeles on February 22nd. Gotta say, there are a few shockers in there – mainly Steve Carell (well-deserved, just unexpected!) and Meryl Streep because y’all know she’s my queen, but Into the Woods was NOT Oscar-worthy. It was enjoyable and entertaining and she totally blew the musical score out of the water (I mean, she’s no Bernadette Peters) but sorry, this is a no-go for me.

What do you think of this year’s nominations?
