Ellen DeGeneres has something to say to that Christian pastor who thinks she has a “gay agenda”

Ellen DeGeneres is awesome. She’s loved by young and old, black and white, gay and straight. How can you not like her? She’s funny, she’s down-to-earth and she’s just a really nice person (or seems like it – I’ve never met her). Well, I suppose you might not like her if you’re conservative Christian pastor Larry Tomczak, who believes that Ellen is leading a “gay agenda” that’s trying to seduce young women into lesbianism. LOL!

Tomczak made Ellen the centerpiece of an article for the Christian Post entitled “Are You Aware of the Avalanche of Gay Programming Assaulting Your Home?” Doesn’t really roll off the tongue, does it? Well, Ellen’s not really feeling it and she confronted his ignorance during her show on Tuesday (via US Weekly):

“I don’t usually read anything about myself,” DeGeneres began in her monologue on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “But I heard there was an article written about me and I would like to address it right now. It’s a pastor who wrote an article for the Christian Post where he accuses Hollywood of having a gay agenda and said that ‘Ellen DeGeneres celebrates her lesbianism and ‘marriage’ in between appearances of guests like Taylor Swift to attract young girls.'”

“First of all, I’m not ‘married,'” she continued. “I’m married. That’s all, that’s all, I’m just married.”

“Larry, I don’t even know what it means to celebrate my lesbianism. I mean. Well, I guess I do, it’s like that!” DeGeneres added, pulling a party popper out of her pocket and popping it. “I’m gay!”

“Larry, the only way I’m trying to influence people is to be more kind and compassionate with one another,” DeGeneres said. “That is the message that I’m sending out. I don’t have an agenda. I’m not here to brainwash anyone.”

Grabbing a spinning vortex and holding it up to the camera, the funnywoman added, “But listen to the sound of my voice. Attention youth of the world: I want you to live your lives being exactly who you are. Be true to yourself. The most important thing is to be true to yourself.”

Gotta love Ellen! I swear to God, I can’t wait until 100 years from now, when kids learn about how homosexuals were persecuted and treated like absolute shit and they’re like, “What? How was that ever a thing?” I seriously feel bad for people who hate themselves so much that they have to turn it on other people. Get a grip, dudes.

  • Hollywood’s gay agenda is expressed via Family Channel. There are no tv shows currently in production about hetero couples with kids. The pastor is an idiot. Ellen is simply gay. She has no agenda to recruit others. He needs to do his homework before he opens his mouth.

  • Ellen hit it out of the park responding the way she did. THAT’S how you respond to stupidity – with CLASS and HUMOR.
